CFMoto was founded in 1989 in Hangzhou, China, and began as a producer of liquid-cooled engines before expanding into motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, and side-by-side vehicles. The company exports to more than 100 countries and has built a reputation for offering well-equipped vehicles at competitive prices, though earlier products were sometimes criticized for quality and reliability concerns. Through a partnership with KTM, CFMoto has manufactured certain KTM models in China, including the 790 Duke. Its current motorcycles feature in-house developed engines, ride-by-wire throttles, TFT displays, and rider aids such as traction control.

  800MT - Ibex 800

  The CFMoto 800MT, sold in some markets as the Ibex 800, is a mid-range adventure-touring motorcycle positioned above the 450MT and 650MT in the brand's lineup. Launched in 2021, it received a substantial update for 2024 with revised styling and electronics, alongside a more off-road-oriented 800MT-X variant. Its 799cc parallel-twin engine is derived from KTM's 790/890 platform and produces roughly 95 horsepower. Typical strengths include competitive pricing, KYB suspension, a full electronics package with multiple ride modes, and strong value relative to European and Japanese rivals.
