The 2009 Nissan Rogue continued with its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission, while Vehicle Dynamic Control became standard on all trims and a rearview monitor was added to the SL package. The CVT requires periodic fluid service, and neglected maintenance can lead to transmission wear in higher-mileage examples. The QR25DE engine is generally durable but may develop oil consumption as it ages. All-wheel-drive models also need rear differential fluid changes at the recommended intervals.
