The 2000 Nissan Frontier was offered with a 3.3L VG33E V6 or a 2.4L four-cylinder, and the Crew Cab body style joined the lineup for this model year. The VG33E uses a timing belt that requires periodic replacement, and valve cover gasket oil leaks are a common issue on higher-mileage examples. The available four-speed automatic transmission has been known to develop shifting problems with age, and frame and body rust is worth inspecting. Other typical service items include oxygen sensors, ignition coils, and wheel bearings, particularly on four-wheel-drive models.
