The 2005 Nissan Titan was largely a carryover from its 2004 debut, with minor equipment updates including new option packages and available rear parking sonar. It continued to use the 5.6-liter V8 engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Common service considerations include monitoring the transmission for shudder or delayed shifts, checking the radiator for cracked plastic end tanks, and inspecting the frame for corrosion, which Nissan addressed through an extended service campaign in some regions. Higher-mileage examples may also develop timing chain tensioner rattle on startup or exhaust manifold cracks.
