The 2009 Nissan Versa carried over the 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with only minor changes to trim and equipment. Offered as a sedan or hatchback, it was available with a 6-speed manual, 4-speed automatic, or CVT depending on the trim level. Common service considerations include regular CVT fluid changes, since the continuously variable transmission is a known wear item, along with routine oil changes and timing chain inspection. Brake, suspension, and exhaust components also merit inspection as mileage accumulates.
