Chevrolet was founded in 1911 by race driver Louis Chevrolet and businessman William C. Durant, and it became a division of General Motors in 1918. The brand's small-block V8 engine, introduced in 1955, became one of the most widely produced engine designs in automotive history. Chevrolet is known for models including the Corvette, in production since 1953, and the Silverado pickup line. More recently, the company has produced electrified vehicles such as the Volt plug-in hybrid and the Bolt EV.

CaptivaThe Chevrolet Captiva is a compact crossover SUV produced by Chevrolet from 2006 to 2018. The first generation, built on a platform shared with the Opel Antara, was offered with five- or seven-seat layouts, while the second generation, introduced in 2016, was based on the Baojun 560 and sold mainly in select markets. The model was positioned as a practical, family-oriented vehicle, with typical strengths including a spacious interior, available third-row seating, and competitive pricing. It was eventually phased out in many markets in favor of other Chevrolet crossovers such as the Equinox and Trailblazer.
