The Honda Accord is a midsize sedan positioned above the compact Civic in Honda's passenger car lineup, and it was originally introduced in 1976 as a compact hatchback. Notable generations include the third generation (1986) with its flip-up headlights, the larger eighth generation (2008–2012), and the eleventh generation launched in 2023, which offers a turbocharged engine or a hybrid powertrain. The Accord is generally regarded for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and strong resale value. Coupe body styles were offered until the ninth generation ended production in 2017.

  The 2003-2007 Honda Accord was redesigned for 2003 with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder or 3.0-liter V6, and the V6's output rose to 244 hp for 2006 alongside revised exterior styling. Vehicle Stability Assist became standard on V6 models in 2006 and on all Accords for 2007. Common service items include automatic transmission wear, particularly in early model years, along with ignition coil failures, A/C compressor clutch issues, valve cover gasket leaks, and front suspension bushing wear. Both engines use a timing belt that requires replacement at the manufacturer's interval, and some examples develop oil consumption or power steering hose leaks.
