The 1978 Nissan 280Z introduced revised suspension geometry and a new, lighter rear axle. Common service considerations included replacing the rear shocks and rebuilding the transmission due to increased mileage. Oil leaks, particularly around the valve cover and rear main seal, were frequently reported issues.
