The 2006 Sentra was the final year of the sixth-generation model, bringing revised front and rear styling and standard side-curtain airbags across the lineup. The SE-R Spec V used a 2.5-liter four-cylinder rated at 200 horsepower, while base models used a 2.0-liter engine with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Common service items include ignition coil failures, oil consumption on higher-mileage QR25 engines, and timing chain tensioner rattle. Examples equipped with the CVT need regular transmission fluid changes, as the unit is a known wear item.
